March rolls in to el Sol Winery.. TWO.. Yes Two events this month..
March 20th and 21st. We will be joining 25 other wineries in the Livermore Valley Second Annual Barrel Tasting Event. We will be Barrel Tasting 2 wines in the Tasting Room.. Barrel Tasting 2 wines in the Winery. “Bottle Your Own” 2003 Livermore Cabernet..$12.00 a bottle.. A great line-up on vendors with crafts and fun stuff.. Lots of great snacks.. Bring a picnic and enjoy the Patio with a view of the Altamont Pass.. For info on Event Tickets go to LVWINE.ORG. Be sure to select el Sol to pick up your tickets. Tickets are $25 in advance and $35 the day of.. THIS EVENT SOLD OUT QUITE EARLY LAST YEAR!!
March 27th and 28th. Solstice Wine Club Release and Club Party. 4 great wines.. Under $60.. The release of the new Loco Lobo Lodi Reserve Syrah, 2005. A choice of either the 2004 Tempranillo or the 2003 Sangiovese. If the 08 Sav Blanc is in bottle it will be the white wine.. Hint.. The other red might be the 2004 Hanna Nichole Merlot from Contra Costa County.. We will be hosting a Club reception for members from 5 to 8 on Sat the 27th. Great snacks. Perhaps Capt. Hal’s soup or chili.. Bottle it Your Self Cab at $10 for Club Members.. The Release party is “Reservations Required” and is limited to 50, so get your’s in early please. Our Tasting list has changed a bit.. We are now offering two flight choices. 9 el Sol wines are offered for a $5 fee.. Additionally, 7 el Sol Reserve wines are offered at $10. In either case $5 is waived with a wine purchase.. As always you are able to sit and relax at our tables for wine service. Nice Day?? Sit out in the Patio with a pastoral view of the Altamont Pass. We will serve you there as well.
Get A taste of the new “By the Seat of My Pants” wine.. A blend of Cab, Merlot,Sangiovese,Syrah and Zin.. Come join up on the patio or inside the tasting room if it is brisk for a great trip through our wine menu. Enjoy a seated tasting experience from the list of 16 wines. Bring a lunch or a snack.. Relax in the sun with a great view of the Altamont Pass. Might even catch the sight of our resident Red Tail Hawks.. and our usual tasting bar full of delicious snacks..
BARREL TASTING. As always, we will have the 2 futures available in the tasting Room, both a 05 Livermore Petite Sirah and a 2003 (yes 2003) Livermore Cab Sav, Save a big 30% on case sales of these futures.. Did not taste your fave?? Not to be disappointed. Just let us know, if we have it available you can taste it..
If you have not visited our new tasting room, please do stop by to check it out. It is in the same format as the barrel room with a view to die for. We are open Friday Saturday Sunday 12 to 5..
Futures are out with more to come. The 2004 Syrah Port and the 2005 Loco Lobo Reserve Syrah are out and available for pick-up. The 2003 Reserve Petite Sirah has just been released as well !!
The 2003 Loco Lobo Syrah is still available with a 2 bottle limit.. It is the wine that was sold out in it’s first bottling. Taste what an extra year in oak has done to this great wine!! Only 5 cases left.

News on our other futures …. . If you have purchased any of the previous futures, you may pick them up here at the Winery (8626 Lupin) during the week between 12:00 and 4:30 (please call) and on weekends during tasting hours.
